What a year actually buys

  1. 2Legends, built to a higher standard than the six free fighters
  2. 18outfits between them — eight the day you join, ten you earn
  3. 100levels of mastery, fifty on each, every one of them giving something
  4. 116rewards that only a member can reach

Those 116 are 24 titles, 22 swing trails, 14 card frames, 12 rank badges, 10 profile icons, 10 outfits, 6 victory lines, 6 knockout flourishes, 4 entrances, 4 victory dances, 2 profile banners and 2 name glows. At five matches a day it takes about half a year of playing to reach the top of both. The six free fighters keep their own 132 rewards the whole time, and nothing here is taken away from them.

Nothing you buy makes you stronger.

Legends use the same movement and the same moves as the six free fighters. They hit for the same damage and they fly the same distance. A ranked duel is the same fight whether you pay or not, and it always will be. What a membership buys you is how you look doing it.

A ladder more than twice as long

Every fighter earns its own level by being played. A Legend's ladder runs to 50 across six ranks, and every single level gives you something.

And five more each, earned by playing

Three tiers, and each one is a bigger piece of work than the one below it. Elite changes what the suit is made of. Mythic puts something moving inside the cloth that answers how much damage you are carrying. Paragon is the fighter evolved: real new parts on the body, with its own entrance and knockout to match.

  1. Juno in Chrome Pilot: a polished chrome suit with a gold visor.

Frames for your damage card

Stone, Ember, Frost, Smoke, Moonlit, Royal, Eclipse, and the moving ones: Gilded, Aurora, Living Smoke.

Entrances and knockouts

Earned on a Legend's ladder.

  • Meteor Drop — Juno comes down burning and cracks the floor
  • Warp In — a ring of light tears open and she steps out of it
  • Smoke Drop — Nyx falls inside a plume and it bursts along the floor
  • Shadow Pool — a pool spreads, ripples, and he rises out of it
  • Six knockout flourishes: Star Burst, Orbit Ring, Black Hole, Shadow Slash, Blade Ring, Eclipse

Victory dances

Each with its own line and its own tempo — and from level 25, a backflip.

  • Zero G — Juno winds up and throws a jetpack backflip, slow and weightless, landing into a salute to the stars. No up, no down.
  • Vanish — Nyx coils, backflips with his knives tucked in, and twists out of it somewhere else. Still here. Mostly.
  • Victory Lap — a corkscrew, over and round at once, finishing with both arms up. That one is going in the logbook.
  • Blade Form — slow and deliberate, a kata rather than a celebration. The shadows keep score.

Profile icons

Twenty-eight of them across the roster, earned a few levels apart, shown beside your name wherever other players see you.

Two hundred and forty-eight rewards across the eight fighters, every level of every ladder, and not one of them touches how hard you hit. Looks only, all the way up.

What you earn, you keep

Brawlorama keeps three kinds of progress, and only one of them ever resets.

  • Resets every 12 weeks

    Ranked points

Your rank in duels, Bronze to Champion. At the end of a season points soften back towards the middle and you play three matches to settle. Each season you finish leaves a badge with your best tier.

  • Never resets

    Player level

One level for your account, counting every point you have ever earned on every fighter. It only goes up, and it has no ceiling.

  • Never resets

    Character mastery

A level for each fighter, earned by playing that fighter. This is the one the rewards hang off. A bad season cannot undo a year of playing someone well.

The exact numbers, if you want them

What a match is worth

  • Finishing it: 30
  • Winning a duel: 30. Placing in a four player match: 30, 15 or 5. Winning as a team: 25
  • Each knockout: 8, counting up to twelve of them
  • Damage you deal: 1 for every 10%, up to 25
  • Winning without being knocked off once: 20
  • Your first win of the day with a fighter: 100

Then multiplied

  • Ranked duel: ×1.25, the best paying mode
  • Showdown: ×1.15
  • Quick and friends' rooms: ×1
  • Practice against a Hard computer: ×0.25, up to 100 a day

Earning nothing

  • Leaving early, matches under a minute, standing still, or practice against anything easier than Hard

Level 1 to 2 costs 250 points and each level after costs 40 more than the last. At most 400 points from one match, and 3,000 in a day.

Same fight.
Better entrance.
