Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Friends Forever Studios LLC, a limited liability company in New York, about using Brawlorama and this website. By playing, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not play.

Who can play

You must be thirteen or older to play online, to make an account, or to buy anything. Anyone younger is welcome to play on their own device, by themselves, against the computer.

If you are under eighteen, you should have a parent or guardian read these terms with you before you buy anything.

Your account

• You choose a name and a four digit number. Keep your sign in to yourself; what happens on your account is your responsibility.
• Do not pretend to be someone else, and do not pick a name that is offensive, hateful, or made to mislead other players.
• We can change or take back a name that breaks this rule, and we will tell you when we do.
• An account is for one person. Do not sell it, rent it, share it, or pass it on.

Playing fair

Brawlorama is a competitive game, and it only works if everyone plays it honestly. While playing, do not:

• Cheat, change the game, or use any tool, script or device that gives you an advantage.
• Interfere with our servers or with another player's connection.
• Lose on purpose, team up against someone in a ranked match, or arrange results with another player.
• Leave ranked matches part way through. Quitting costs you points and lowers your fair play score, and repeated quitting means longer waits before a ranked match.
• Harass, threaten or bully anyone. If someone does this to you, report them and we will read it.

If you break these rules we may warn you, reset your rank, remove a name, suspend your account, or close it. For serious or repeated cheating we will close it without warning.

Membership and anything you buy

• Anything you buy is sold through the App Store or Google Play. They take the payment, hold your card details, and handle refunds under their own rules. We never see your card.
• A membership is charged monthly or yearly and renews by itself until you cancel it. You cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings, not in the game, and it keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Membership gives you fighters, looks, entrances and other extras. It never makes your fighter hit harder, move faster, or win more easily. Ranked matches are fair whether you pay or not.
• Everything you buy is a licence to use it inside Brawlorama. You do not own it, it has no cash value, and it cannot be sold or transferred.
• If we change the price we will tell you before it takes effect, and you can cancel.

What you may do with the game

We give you a personal licence to play Brawlorama on devices you own. You may record and stream your own play, including on a channel that earns you money.

You may not copy, take apart, rebuild or resell the game, or pull out its art, music, models or code to use elsewhere. Brawlorama, its name, its fighters, its artwork, its music and its code belong to us.

The game will change

We will keep working on Brawlorama. Fighters and stages will be added, moves will be rebalanced, and modes will come and go. Ranked points reset at the end of each twelve week season. The mastery levels you earn with each fighter do not reset, and we intend to keep it that way.

We may stop offering a feature, or in the end the game itself. If we ever have to close it down, we will give as much notice as we reasonably can.

Stopping

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the game. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close yours for breaking the rules, you will not be refunded for a membership you have already paid for, except where the law says otherwise.

What we promise, and what we do not

We work hard to keep Brawlorama running and fair, but it is provided as it is. Online play depends on your internet connection and on other players' connections, and we cannot promise matches will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults.

Where our responsibility ends

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for anything beyond the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the law where you live, and some places do not allow these limits, in which case they do not apply to you.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, and any dispute belongs in the courts of New York. If you live in Canada or Mexico, this does not remove the consumer protections you have at home.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will post the new version here and change the date at the top. If a change matters, we will tell you in the game. Carrying on playing afterwards means you accept the new version.
